I found a land record of a Garrard Davis of Frederick Co., MD listed about 1745. I believe that he is either the father or grandfather of my ancestor, Benjamin Davis who was born in Md May 1776. A Garrard Davis, the father of my Benjamin, died in Mason County, KY about 1802 and left a will. He had a son named Garrard who married Elizabeth McDermid or McDermott in Frederick County in 1795. Anyone doing research on this line? Thanks, Annie
