In October of 1885 there was an accident between a wagon and a train at "Union Railway and the Philadelphia Road, near Highlandtown". Was this location within the Baltimore City limits or in Baltimore County in 1885? A 16 year old, Louis GUNTHER, was killed in the accident and his father, Harman GUNTHER, was injured. There was to be a jury of inquest, according to the newspaper report. How and where would I find the results of this inquest, depending if it was City or County? Betty Lou, In 1885, that was in Baltimore County, about half a mile outside the city line, which was at East St (about where Edison Highway is now) until 1918. The crossing is on the 12th District map I sent you a couple years ago. Did you see Gary Ruppert's post on the Sun images from the late 1800's at GenealogyBank.com?
