    3. I am trying to locate a map that would show the location of "Happy Alley" in Baltimore between 1827 and 1842. It apparently ran north of Alisanna and south of Fleet Streets. According to the Baltimore City directories of the time, my fourth great grandparents may have both been living on this alley address. Thanks for any assistance you can provide. 3. Check the Maryland Historical Society's web site for information concerning your problem. A visit to the Society to check maps would help. Also you can phone or send a letter to them to get an answer. Francis O'Neill is an expert on Baltimore streets in the 19th century and could help you out. 3. Try the Library of Congress. They have a number of old Baltimore maps in their online collection. Plus I found this url in my Favorites for old maps: http://www.davidrumsey.com/ Also note that the spelling is currently Aliceanna (don't know if it was different back then) and that Fleet St. was formerly Canton Ave. Michele -----Original Message----- From: md-baltimorecity-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:md-baltimorecity-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Bill Love Sent: Monday, April 23, 2007 9:19 AM To: MD-BALTIMORECITY@rootsweb.com Subject: [MD-BALTIMORECITY] Baltimore City Maps of 1842 I am trying to locate a map that would show the location of "Happy Alley" in Baltimore between 1827 and 1842.
