City MD. He is buried with his wife Emily Cropper, B:1834 D:Oct 5, 1878 and Buried in Western Cemetery in Balto. City. Her death certificate is CR 48053 #27957, City of Balto, Oct.5, 1878. She was 44 years old. Reuben and Emily's daughter Susanna Cropper, B:April 6, 1853 D:May 19, 1893 also buried in Western Cemetery -- she is my gggrandmother. Susanna married William Henry Connelly. The Reuben Cropper you identified as dying in Cecil County, MD in 1888 is obviously this Reuben Cropper. Note that the cemetery plot shows her buried on 10/7/1878 in Western Cemetery #253 S; lot purchased by Mrs. M. Stockett in 1856 (name as KROPPER with CROPPER in ()-- the cemetery plot is NOT marked with a tombstone. I visited it and the caretaker showed me where it was. The caretaker's house is right in the cemetery if you ever go to visit. I do not know how Sarah Anne Culle! y fits into the picture. Perhaps Reuben remarried after Emily died. You are correct that Reuben's father was Stephen Cropper born around 1802 -- I located him on the Balto. City 1850 census -- shows him as not being able to read or write; living with 2 sons William and Ruebon -- I believe there may have been another son, Stephen B: abt 1839 who married Louisa Lang B:abt 1851. I have been unable to locate much more info. on Stephen Cropper Sr. -- i am unsure of who his wife was at this time. If you have more information to share on the family I would love to have it for my research. I have more information on Reuben and Emily's children and on Susanna and Wm Henry Connelly's children if you are interested. Hope this info. helps.
