I'm not sure when he owned the land. Sometime between 1920's and 1960's. The restuarants were called Pen-Mar(on Penn. Ave. I believe the address was 2505 they lived on top of it) and the other one was the Cathedral Grill (I believe it was on Cathedral St.). Not sure about the other buildings. I think they were apartments but I'm not really sure. My mom told me he used to own blocks of downtown but she just learned this recently. None of the land is still in the family so I have no idea where it is or why it was sold. Any info you can give me or direction of where to look would be great. This is the first land deed I've tried to look for. Thanks Kelly

    3. WWII draft records support exactly what you are saying. His address and place of employment are listed as 2505 Penna. Ave. Balto. Md. The person who would always know his address was listed as his son: John Zaharis, 1635 W. North Ave., Balto. Md Name: Kostas John Zaharis Birth Date: 22 Oct 1889 Birth: Simon Nafpaktos, Greece Roll: WW2_2243604 Jean On 12/27/06, gc-gateway@rootsweb.com <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com> wrote: > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: > Classification: queries > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.maryland.counties.baltimorecity/7408.1.1/mb.ashx > > Message Board Post: > > His name was Kostas Zaharis.
