    3. If, for some reason, Sarah E. Doyle did not collect Social Security payments, she will not be listed on the Death Index. My father did not collect, as he had not paid in enough, therefore Social Security was not notified of his death. When holding his social security card in my hand, I called the ss office only to be told that he did not have a number and if I had a card, it was not a legal one. Needless to say I went to the local office and found that he did have a number, but did not collect, therefore he was not listed as dead. When I went to the office, he would have been well over 100 years old. I was not able to get a copy of his application, because he did not collect. Betty > I searched the Social Security Death Index, Ancestry's phone Directory > covering the 1990s and the Baltimore Sun Archives (for a death notice) and > did not find a listing for a Sarah E Doyle that died in Baltimore City in > 1999 (which doesn't mean it isn't true, just that she was not listed on > any > of those.)

    3. There are some Doyles who used to live in Elkridge, Maryland in the 1970's. Wonder if they are connected. Maybe you could check that area.
