Hi Everyone, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you all a Blessed, Happy & Prosperous New Year! I was going to meet with Rev. Ticknor at St. James Church in Lothian on Dec. 26. On December 20, the following message was posted to these lists by Mollie Merrick King: "There is a published list of the stones at St James Parish, compiled by the Marlborough Towne Chapter of the NSDAR in 1967, and contained in the volume Tombstone Inscriptions of Southern Anne Arundel County (Gateway Press, Baltimore, 1971). This list is not alphabetized, and it would certainly be more useful to more people as an online searchable database - but these records might be a backup or second reference for stones that are hard to read. This volume also contains the records of All Hallows Church." Additionally, Rev. Ticknor left a voicemail message for me advising a gentleman had contacted him soon after I did and he was also interested in assisting with entering the data on the gravesites into a computer program to share. So, on December 26, I called Rev. Ticknor and he wasn't in but I was able to leave a voicemail message advising that on the genealogy mail lists, a message had been posted that there was already a book in print that contained the gravestone data and that I had received the Reverend's message about another contact, so before heading over to the church, I would try to review the volume cited and I would also try to contact all parties interested in working on this project before meeting with the Rev. also, regardless of the published info and getting it online in searchable format, I wanted to start photographing the cemetery in the entirety. Unfortunately, we had bad weather in A.A. Co. over Christmas, so I did not get over to the church on Tuesday, Dec. 2 because I knew the ground would b particularly sodden. So, what I am trying to determine (and please respond to me off-lists!): 1.) Does anyone have the volume cited by Ms. King in Dec. 20 ("Tombstone Inscriptions of Southern Anne Arundel County")? 2.) Who among you may be willing to do at least a portion of the photographing of the stones? I can still get the cards from Rev. Ticknor and enter them into a searchable dbase.
