    3. Letty: May I suggest/request that whoever does the recording of the cards and information also photograph the tombstones and submit everything to the MD Tombstone Transcription Project? We have a partial transcription already but would love to have an entire transcription. Photo transcriptions are a great way to preserve what is left of old stones and provide a great service to those folks who are not able to visit a cemetery. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/md/anne/tsimages/herringcreek/stjames.html If the people who are interested in transcribing the cards/photographing stones would get in touch with me I have a preformatted Excel sheet and/or Word document format that can be used to type up the information and we can have a transcription of St. James for everyone. 3. I can probably do some of this next week between Christmas and New Year's. I have a decent digital camera and can certainly photograph the sites. as for the data entry, I can do that over several evenings into early January. I will call the church latyer today. My DRURY ancestors lived in the Lothian area before a branch went to D.C. 3. Letty, Kathy & All others :-) I just spoke with Rev. Tichnor at St. James Church in Lothian (Anne Arundel Co.). I am meeting him in the early afternoon of Dec. 26 to get the cards to enter. If the weather is decent, I will also begin photographing all of the grave stones. I hope to have all entered by the New Year. As the Rev. mentioned, sometimes things come up in his work, so he may have to adjust our meeting should he have a parishioner need him. Additionally, my daughter is expecting her third child in late January, so anything can happen... I look forward to sharing it all as soon as possible. Merry Christmas, Kathleen On 12/18/06, Kathi Jones-Hudson <mdcat.geo@yahoo.com> wrote: > > Letty: > > May I suggest/request that whoever does the recording > of the cards and information also photograph the > tombstones and submit everything to the MD Tombstone > Transcription Project?
