The story of Gr.Grandfather Trauty came down through my mother and grandmother. The people who made Martha Washington Chocolates were having trouble with the consistency of the chocolate -- it was too waxey. My grandmother's father (Henry Trauty) or grandfather (Andrew Draude)helped correct the formula. Henry was born 1857 and died in 1934. Andrew was born 1820; arrived in the US in 1850; and died in 1908. My mother talked about going to her grandfather's factory on the street car when she was a young girl. That would have been Henry because Andrew died 2 years before my mother was born. Sorry I can't be of more help. Candy
