The first of my relatives to arrive in Baltimore from Ireland was an 18 year old single girl arriving in 1902. She came through the Philadelphia port to go to her cousin with name unable to read living on 219 W. Centre Street. Arriving in 1903 and 1904 were 2 others also going to the Centre St. Address. Big question who lived at this address? The name of cousin may be ?Donald but no match found in 1901. I found 200 block of Mulberry which should be about a block away and searched page after page in both directions with no luck finding Centre. Any one know a way to find a certain house in the 1901 census? Joan
Joan, Centre Street is about 5 blocks North of Mulberry Street. they both run East/West. There is a map of 1890 Baltimore on www.davidrumsey.com that shows the election districts. I believe Centre Street is in ED 11. That said it is possible the districts were changed prior to the1910 census. If your people came in 1902 - 1904 I would check out the 1910 census to see if they are there plus the 1900 census for the cousin.
