I understand what ou're saying, but I for one disagree with military medals of ay kind being sold this way. My husband spent 30 years in the Navy, and while he does not have a Purple Heart or Silver Star I would not want his medals and ribbons sold this way. I feel there should be some way of returning them to the government, and they should be disposed of honorably--such as when you have an American flag they has been damaged. Even if the government were to melt them down and reuse the metal, or send them to some sort of museum to put in their overstock or whatever. I feel it is dishonorable to any military person who has given up so much for his/her country to sell their medals and ribbons like this. No, the sky is not falling, but there should really be a better way to dispose of these things that selling them at auction or on e-Bay. -- Monica Mullikin Goose Creek, South Carolina -------------- Original message from Kathi Jones-Hudson <mdcemmy@yahoo.com>: -------------- > I will be the odd-person out on this one having read > the entire eBay listing -- > > #1- It was found/purchased from an estate, therefore > one can assume Pvt.
