I will be the odd-person out on this one having read the entire eBay listing -- #1- It was found/purchased from an estate, therefore one can assume Pvt. Barnhill's parents are deceased and their possessions including the medals/certificates were not wanted by any other family members if any are even living -- so they were put up for auction. #2- The listing is respectful and states: Offered with Repect for Military collection/historical preservation. #3- Had the items not been sold at auction and made their way to eBay then they probably would have ended up in a second hand shop or even thrown out by auction personnel. Better a military collector own them. I don't think the sky is falling and no one should really be quite so upset by this. Clearly if any family members wanted the items or were still alive they would be the ones who had possession of them ... doesn't seem to be the case.
