Ham, Here is info you may already have, but just in case. In the 1880 Census, Andrew and Maggie Rowe and their children are listed in the 15th Ward, Precinct 5. The street is hard to read, but I think they lived at #62 Camden Street. That appears to have been a large building that was renumbered to 125 and 127 W. Camden when the City renumbered all of its addresses in 1887. It was between Hanover and Sharp Streets, on the south side of Camden. From the 1890 Sanborn map, all the buildings in that block had storefronts, which means they may have lived upstairs. That block is now the site of the Baltimore Convention Center. In the 1890 City Directory (at Ancestry), Andrew Rowe had 2 addresses. From the Sanborn map, it looks like 1 W. Camden (sw corner of Camden and Charles Streets) was his business address, and they lived at 520 Hanover Street, which was between Welcome Alley and Lee Streets. I've downloaded the 2 1890 Sanborn maps that show where they lived in 1880 and 1890 and will send them to you off the list. Edward moved to Gloucester Co., VA, and married Susan Hayes in 1844. They had 5 children, all born in Gloucester; however, the two sons, Andrew Jackson Eaton Rowe and James William (Willie) E. Rowe, moved back to Baltimore in the 1870's - 80's, established a sucessful commission merchant business, "Rowe and Jurney", adjacent to the old Baltimore docks and their children (most of them) were born in Baltimore. My grandmother (a daughter of Andrew), Margaret Thomas Rowe, was born in Baltimore on October 26, 1880, and has told me of watching the horse-drawn fire wagons racing out of a nearby firehouse. I'd very much appreciate some guidance, direction, help as to where I can find anything on Edward's parents/ancestors and any information concerning his Baltimore-born grandchildren. Thanks for any help - this has been a brick-wall situation for me for a long time.
