Tia, The Little Gunpowder Post Office was located on the Philadelphia Turnpike, now Philadelphia Road, just south of the Gunpowder Falls. That was in District 11 in Baltimore County. But the Postal areas used in the Census often covered a very large area, sometimes covering more than one election district. So your ancestor may not have lived too close to the actual Post Office. You can find a name-searchable map of the entire state and drill down to the 11th District at: http://mdslavery.net/html/mapped_images/mapsindex.html The Post Office is in the far right of the District 11 map. The Baltimore County parts of the map are from 1865. If you are looking for someone that owned a large property, make sure you scroll down to the search feature. If you search online, you should also be able to purchase the Hopkins 1876 Atlas of Baltimore County, which has even more detailed maps. It only costs about $15 or so.
