Gardenwench, I found census info for Mary and her family in 1860 and 1870. I checked the online 1890 Baltimore City directory and found Mary and Henry. In 1920, there's a census with Lizzie (Mary's daughter) and her brother Albert. I found them under Brocker. I'll send the files directly to you. That's all I have time for tonight as I need to get ready for a trip tomorrow. Hopefully this will get you started. She is listed as tailoress, and has a family boarding at her house. I cannot find her before 1880 or after. On the census she states she is from BORGLOH, which is where Gerhard, Franz and Henry Broeker emigrated from with 2 Budde sisters Marie and Anna. They landed in Baltimore May 30, 1854, but ship list said they were headed to Cincinati, Ohio. I hav'nt found any trace of them in Ohio. This has me stumped.
