Hi, My maiden name was Randall and I am searching for information about my g-g grandfather. He was Edward T Randall and he moved here from Virginia in approximately 1850. His parents were also born in VA. He is apparently absent from the 1850 census as far as I can see (anywhere). He married Leah Jones in 1851 and their children included Thomas (my g-grandfather), Virginia, Charles, Amanda, and Samuel. Samuel was a tugboat captain. Thomas married Catherine Swan, daughter of John A Swan b 1832 (son of Richard T Swan and Eliza Hincks) and Mary A Eberhart b 1834 (daughter of Joseph H Eberhart and Eliza Mahanna). They appear to have only had two sons, John and Edward. Edward, b 1886, was my grandfather. He married Anna Marie Fuka of what is now the Czech Republic. Their youngest son, William, is my father. Another son, Joseph PT Randall also had offspring. Does anyone know anything about Edward such as where he was in the 1850 census and who his parents may have been. Did they also move to MD? In addition, I am also looking into the Swans and Hincks as well as Eberharts and Mahannas. I would love to hear from anyone regarding those families. Thanks for any help you can give.
