This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Lindsay, Green Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AFB.2ACI/4709 Message Board Post: I am looking for information about the family of my grandmother, Annie (or Ann) Matilda Lindsay. She was born in 1895 and may have lived in Hampden before marrying Edgar Raymond Green of Hampden. Edgar worked at the Mt Vernon-Woodberry Cotton Duck factory before moving his family sometime in the 1920's to Dorsey, Anne Arundel County. Annie may have had a sister named Sadie who was married to Clifford Seitz. At some point they lived in Hampden.A young son of Edgar and Annie is buried at St Mary's cemetery in Hampden along with Edgar's parents, Israel and Laura Green, Edgar's uncle Lester Green, and aunt, Maggie Green. While I have been able to find out lots lately about the Greens, tracing them back to early 1800's in Baltimore county, I am unable to locate the Lindsays. They may have originally lived on the Eastern Shore. Any leads would be appreciated.
Through the RODGERS line, I have an Annie Lindsay (b. unknown) whose mother was Annie Matilda Rodgers Lindsay, married to George Lindsay. Annie Lindsay had siblings, Sadie, Franklin Pierce, b. 1877; Charlie b. abt. 1878; Martha, b. 1888; George Albert,b. 1891; John Thomas, b. 1893. Annie Matilda Rodgers Lindsay was the daughter of Peter Rodgers and Martha Ann Wagner Rodgers, my great grandparents. I have more about the Rodgers but nothing more on the Lindsay's. If you want more of the Rodgers line, please contact me.
