I found a rather lengthy article dated 29 Nov 1942 in The Sun, and it also mentioned the Seven Seas Bar a/k/a Loretta's. Was your ancestor named Loretta by chance? Apparently the bar was located in The Block area in Baltimore. For some reason this message is not allowing me to attach it.
