Crist Sr., 52, a resident of Edgewater for 29 years, died of natural causes June 12, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Mr. Crist was born March 28, 1956, in Annapolis and was raised in Arnold. He was a former Pepsi-Cola salesman for 15 years, and then worked at Coca-Cola for eight years. He then became an independent trucker for the last 14 years. He enjoyed working on and restoring old cars. He belonged to Bay Country Vans from 1978 to 1984. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Lee Crist; and one brother, James S. Crist Jr. Survivors include one son, Donald L. Crist Jr. of Centreville; one daughter, Amy M. Crist of Edgewater; three brothers, Nelson G. Crist of Arnold, Steven Crist of Summerfield, Fla., and Richard Crist of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and five grandsons. Family and friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Barranco and Sons Severna Park Funeral Home, 495 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
