Donald: First German Reformed Cemetery is not the same as Schwartz Cemetery: that was the cemetery for First United German Church (never a part of the Reformed denomination but very specifically independent of any governing synod) It was founded in 1851 on Eastern Ave (which still exists in the original building but is today a part of the UCC. I believe First German Reformed Cemetery was located nearby to the current Schwartz Cemetery (named after an early minister) For years the city used it to bury indigents. Last I heard it had been sold to a developer and no records or tombstones were known to have survived, but you could inquire at First and St.Stephens UCC on York Road, this congregation was formerly First German Reformed Church (most German Reformed congregations were merged by their own choice into the UCC (United Church of Christ) in the early 20th century.
