I'm studying deeds of Blount CO, tN, and see a number of references both to MD and to Baltimore. Here is one, although my names are not these; mine include Hooker, Watkins, Hart, McPherson. 617 Isaiah Mankin of City of Baltimore, by his atty in fact Thomas L. Williams, to James Berry: 5 Feb. 1828, $450, lot #56 and #57 in Maryville, the lot on which Berry now lives at the intersection of the Main St and an alley, adj lot #65 belonging to John Vaught, being Grant #887 to John Lowery dated 11 May 1810. Wit: Samuel Pride, Thomas I. Foute 28 Apr 1828
