Also, most of these old maps did not have indexes to help find the streets. But from bits and pieces I've looked at, I think they were all with 3-4 blocks of each other, all probably in Ward 10 on the 1836 map. They were all near Howard, Richmond and Biddle streets, site of the Richmond Market shown on the map. Another nearby landmark was St. Mary's Seminary, a few blocks southwest, at Franklin, Paca and Ross Streets. Charles Street was the east boundary of Ward 10, with Ward 7 being on the east side of Charles. Pennsylvania Ave. formed the southwest border of Ward 10, with Ward 12 being below Pennsylvania ave.
