The church and its various buildings were on Front Street. I found the parish priests (Didier, Ahern and Andreis) on lines 42-44 of Ancestry's image 49. The Male Orphan Asylum starts on image 52. I have a book on the history of the parish and could not find any mention of a convent. It stated that in the 1850's, the nuns teaching the school were not paid and had to live with families nearby. A St. Vincent's Female Home existed in the 1850's, but it doesn't look like it was still around in 1880. Good luck in the search.
