I believe that the Samuel Black in the early Baltimore Directories living on Bishop's Alley may be your Samuel Blackard. He disappears from the directory in 1835 (the year of Samuel Blackard's death). He shows up in the 1830 census on ancestry.com as Samuel Blach. In the 1820 directory he is listed as Samuel Black, carter, Bishop's Alley, W side of Queen. There is a Mary Blacker in the 1810 census. I am finished with my Beard Research for now.
