I'm glad that you found your folks. Whenever I have gone, it has been during what I consider normal cemetery hours, which would be like 10-5 Mon-Sat, and they've always been open. That was maybe 3 times that I tried. I don't remember seeing a sign, but I can look as I drive by the next time I am down there. My relatives that are in Swartz, were listed as being interred at "First Evangelical Cemetery" in their obit. I have not figured out the naming of the two cemeteries in question either. But I guessed incorrectly when I first searched for them, and spent hours looking in the place down the street, which is labeled "Evangelist Lutheran" in Google Maps. The sign itself on that one says "Ev Lutheran Trinity Cemetery" if you would like extra words to get confused about: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=odonnell st, baltimore, md&aq=&sll=39.281232,-76.548405&sspn=0.001397,0.002382&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=O'Donnell St, Baltimore, Maryland&ll=39.281226,-76.548475&spn=0.002778,0.004764&t=h&z=18&layer=c&cbll=39.281232,-76.548406&panoid=1HsTCNrn-4-qKvIZGPZYTA&cbp=12,358.23,,2,13.27 I hope that didn't make things worse. :-) But I have never talked to anyone at the offices of these cemeteries. I am a bit stubborn and impatient with spending time on office folks. I would rather hunt the cemetery. I have seen people out in the cemeteries working on them. If I was going to pick a cemetery to incorrectly search through, I would pick Swartz first. It would give me less headaches and eye strain. :-) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
