So I went back to the email that I received about this, and it says " the Belfast Newsletter reports that a Thomas Beggs from Baltimore in America was married by Reverend John Dogherty at Donegore to Miss Margaret Boyd on Tuesday 31st May 1831. Margaret was a niece of John Lawson from Kilbride." So he was from Baltimore, America but doesn't say he was born there. Thanks for your help.
