The book "Directory of Ministers and Maryland Churches They Served 1634-1990" by Edna Kanely lists"Ward, John L-(Meth) Mt. Lebanon, 1942; Columbia Ave., 1947". Your memory of the area is a little mixed up.The old Montgomery Ward building is on Monroe Street which intersects at about the 1700 block of Columbia Ave.(renamed Washington Blvd.in the 1920's). 655-657 Washington Blvd. is closer to downtown near Green Street (295 and Oriole Park). Here's an interesting note, as a kid I worked part time at 655-657 when it was a "Lion's Club" and at Montgomery Wards in the catalog department.
