George Franklin Pyne, died yesterday afternoon at the residence of his son, Jessup L. Pyne, 1222 West North avenue, after and illness of six weeks. Death was caused by Bright's disease and is thought to have been hastened by grief over the death of his wife, Mrs. Abbie Lee Pyne, which occourred six months ago. He was 53 years old. Mr. Pyne had been in the employ of the city for 12 years, 10 years as a cable inspector with the Electrical Commission and 2 years as a chief counter clerk in the building inspector's office. He left the city's employ two years ago and accepted a clerical position with the Bartlett Hayward Co. He was a native of Baltimore and a son of the late James F. and Sara Pyne. Two sons, Jessup L. and Ernest Y. Pyne; on granddaughter, Miss Dorothy Marie Pyne; a brother Charles e. Pyne, and a sister, Mrs. Jennie E. Pyne, survive. Mr. Pyne was a member of the Protestant Episcopal Cathedral of the Incarnation and of Monumental Lodge, No. 96, of Masons.
