He was buried in Western Cemetery. Sorry for the posting with an incorrect name in the title. Message repeated here: I'm looking for some kind soul who would be able to get me copies of the burial records and a photo of the gravestone. I'd reimburse for all expenses, of course. I live in Syracuse, NY and would be happy to reciprocate with research in this area. If you have NY state ancestors, we have a wonderful genealogy department in the Syracuse library - said to be second only to New York City in this state. Thanks, Nancy

John, Were you able to get to any of my requests? Also - in my e-mail I mentioned that I am coming to Baltimore soon and was wondering if you would like to have lunch. They were open all day Thursday and Friday, so whatever the problem was did not have a major impact. I did get down there Friday. I had a lot of requests and got info on some but not all the requests I got. I hope to send what I got to individuals tonight or tomorrow. If you sent me a request, I will get back to you one way or the other. The records are safe, but the lobby area did smell like smoke. They think the problem had to do with the air conditioning system. They did not reopen on Wednesday and told us they were not sure if they would be open until the problem is fixed. You may want to call them before you go. (and give us an update.) I don't know the birth dates for either Julia orl Charles. Julia died in 1912. They had one child, Charlesl (Karll) Schaefer, b. 24 Aug 1865, d. 20 Jan. 1928. He was my grandfather. Thanks. Pat
Hi, My maiden name was Randall and I am searching for information about my g-g grandfather. He was Edward T Randall and he moved here from Virginia in approximately 1850. His parents were also born in VA. He is apparently absent from the 1850 census as far as I can see (anywhere). He married Leah Jones in 1851 and their children included Thomas (my g-grandfather), Virginia, Charles, Amanda, and Samuel. Samuel was a tugboat captain. Thomas married Catherine Swan, daughter of John A Swan b 1832 (son of Richard T Swan and Eliza Hincks) and Mary A Eberhart b 1834 (daughter of Joseph H Eberhart and Eliza Mahanna). They appear to have only had two sons, John and Edward. Edward, b 1886, was my grandfather. He married Anna Marie Fuka of what is now the Czech Republic. Their youngest son, William, is my father. Another son, Joseph PT Randall also had offspring. Does anyone know anything about Edward such as where he was in the 1850 census and who his parents may have been. Did they also move to MD? In addition, I am also looking into the Swans and Hincks as well as Eberharts and Mahannas. I would love to hear from anyone regarding those families. Thanks for any help you can give. Hi, One of the families I am researching is Kirby. My grandmother, born 1892 in Baltimore was Anna E Kirby. She was the daughter of James Knox Polk Kirby b 1844 and Anna Dashield b 1847. There were many children of James KP and Anna including Charles, Ida, John, Arthur, Jeanette, William, Thomas, and Leo. Arthur's middle name was Reed as Anna Dashield's mother was Nancy Reed. This family lived in South Baltimore. They were originally in East Baltimore, near the port. James was a ships carpenter as was his father, William Kirby b app 1820. He married Eliza/Elizabeth (last name currently unknown). She married Charles Hawthorn upon William's death. She was a midwife for many years. This Kirby family is of Scots-Irish descent. William was born in MD so the Irish immmigrant was probably among the many Scots-Irish who arrived in the 1700's. Is anyone else researching this line? I am looking for William's parents as well as the last name of Eliza/Elizabeth. Thank you very much. He was either a candymaker or a butcher. He moved to Chicago and was not heard from again. Julia (d. 1912) remained in Baltimore and moved in with her daughter-in-law, Catherina Leidig Schaefer. Yes, please post this site. And thanks to the one who posted the Howard Co., MD Marriage site. I found several of my people in that list.
I posted the Howard County site. I do it every once in a while just in case someone missed it the first time. If you know someone or a list pass it on. Here is the Prince William sites. www.co.prince-william.va.us/doclibrary/PDF/004084.pdf www.co.prince-william.va.us/doclibrary/PDF/003527.pdf www.co.prince-william.va.us/doclibrary/PDF/004080.pdf www.co.prince-william.va.us/doclibrary/PDF/004088.pdf www.co.prince-william.va.us/doclibrary.PDF/004091.pdf
Just to let you know that I appreciated the posting. I found my grandmother's second marriage record there. This way I had proof of her new name and could prove that she was my grandfather's wife. Thanks again. Betty >I posted this before but for those who missed it, because of the closeness >maybe you would like to check for some marriages. I also have a website for online postings of some Prince William Virginia marriages, births etc. A lot of the people from Baltmore and the surrounding areas of Maryland are from Virginia and it might be helpful if anyone is interested.
