    1. [MD-BALTIMORECITY] Baltimore Ship Lists
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AFB.2ACI/4791 Message Board Post: A relative listed the KIEL as the ship he emigrated on from Bremen, Germany. On his Declaration of Intention the date of arrival was March 27, 1899. I have not been able to find anything on this ship. Maybe his memory wasn't real good on the name. Where would I find a list of ship arrivals to Baltimore? I have looked at microfilm covering 1899 but never saw a ship by that name. Also I have checked on Ancestry but no luck.Thank you for any help.

    3. Elizabeth, Gary Ruppert posted the following message on this list in 2004. A transcribed index of the church burial records from 1864-1884 are now available at the MD Genealogical Society web site (look in databases) at http://www.mdgensoc.org/ John >From Gary: The name is Schwartz, not Swartz, however the actual name is First German United Evangelical Cemetery and it's still located where it has always been on O'Donnell Street opposite and to the east of Mount Carmel. It is affiliated with First German United Evangelical Church (now First Evangelical UCC) on the north side of Eastern Avenue at Regester Street just east of Broadway. The church was established in 1851. Records of the cemetery have not been microfilmed; records of the church have been and are available at the MSA. There is a caretaker's cottage on the property and the cemetery is generally well cared for. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AFB.2ACI/4783.1.1 Message Board Post: Kathi...thanks for your response. Actually the reason I posted to Baltimore City is because I have a document that I had copied when I was at the Maryland Archives that shows Samuel Brooke in a legal battle over land with his first born son, Otho, in Baltimore City. The document is over 10 pages long. It kind of "threw" me too because I did not have previous information on Samuel Brooke being in Baltimore City. Actually, Samuel was already living in Lewis Co., VA when the legal battle started. If you know of any other information on Samuel B I would love to hear back from you. Mary Jo
