Does anyone know the link to the Maryland Historical Societies "Special Collections" site? Cherry
You may want to check the catalogue on the Maryland Historical Society's website. They have some surprising things in their Special Collections Library. RE Donnelly The Howard County Historical Society Marriage License listings (http://www.hchsmd.org) bride and groom listings have Donnelly's listed. One is a Donnelly, William, age 25, residence is Howard Co, MD and bride listed is France, Isabella, age 18, Howard County, MD. Unfortunately that listing does not give a marriage date. If this William was the one born in 1913 it would make the year 1938 for this marriage. Listings under Groom have 15 Donnelly (8 of which lists residences of either Baltimore, MD or Baltimore City, MD.) and 1 Donnelley of Baltimore, MD Listings under Brides have 11 Donneley (all but 1 for which no residence is given) list residences either in Baltimore, MD or Baltimore City. Don't know whether this would give you any leads or not, but hope so.Frosty

Did you try at the Howard County Historical online marriage site. It might have it.
He was a musician who lost his hearing during WW2. He was married, probably in Baltimore, about late 1930s - 1940 and divorced shortly after the war. I believe they lived in the western end of Baltimore City. I do not know the bride's name. Does anyone have a suggestion on how/where to look, especially since this marriage is relatively 'recent'. TIA, Mary

Reding, his first wife Anna Wolff and their children. John U. Reding was born in Germany in 1832 according to his death certificate. At least one census says 1827. I do not know when he came to America, to which Port or aboard which ship. At least one census says he immigrated in 1827. The first census I find John on is the 1860 in the 7th ward, Baltimore city. With him are Dorada Monday, John Reading, Anna Reading, Frederick Reading, Caroline Reading and Elizabeth Reading. Frederick and Caroline are children of John and Anna. I think Elizabeth could be John's mother. John and Anna are found on the 1870 census in Baltimore, 2nd ward, with children Caroline 17 invalid, Barbara 14, John 9, August 7, Elizabeth 5 and Rosa 2. By the 1880 census John was married to second wife, Christina. Son Frederick is no where to be found in 1870. I have found the death of Rosa and some information on Elizabeth who married Louis F. Deise. I would love to be able to find immigration, marriage info for John and Anna and information on children Frederick, Caroline, Barbara, John and August. Any information on this family would be greatly appreciated. Contact me at ronandlisa2@comcast.net
