The Baltimore Police History website by W.M. Hackley is: http://mysite.verizon.net/vzesdp09/baltimorepolicehistorybywmhackley2/index. html On the left hand side, "pictures of personnel of 1907" has John J. Dunn (Sergeant) and several other Dunn's. It doesn't look like it has Edward Joseph Dunn, but he was a detective and may have needed to remain anonymous. My father tells a funny story of how my grandfather saw "Uncle Ed" on the street in dishevelled clothes and unshaven. My grandfather said, "What happened? Why didn't you tell us things were hard?" and Ed replied, "Get out of here, I'm on a case." I have some of the Dunn history, including Anne Coyle and Olivia McKenna from Ireland, but have a number of gaps. Also, I am trying to find out where in Ireland John Dunn came from, and where Edward Dunn (b. 1846) was baptized. My grandfather married Helen Marie Dunn (8 Aug 1901-19 Nov 1963), who was the daughter of John Joseph Dunn (2 Jun 1873 - 5 Feb 1929). My email is [email protected] if you'd like to share info on the Dunns. Best Regards, Tom Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Several of my relatives were on the Baltimore City Police-- Edward Dunn (1846-1894), John J. Dunn (his son), Edward J. Dunn (also son of Edward Dunn), and Edward J. Dunn Jr. I've seen the listing from 1888 and pictures from 1907 on the W.M. Hackley website (which includes some of my relatives), but am hoping that material may be available through the City or else through the State Archives. In particular I am trying to learn about Edward Dunn (1846-1894)'s father John Dunn. Thank you for any information you may have.
