    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: MarilynRoth58 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.maryland.unknown/899.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Can you think of any more clues? I Googled the names and combined various messages. William PAINE m. 26 Je. 1832, Ross Co., OH, Margaret SPEAKMAN (ca. 1811 - 1893), and had Elizabeth, Minor, Bushrod, Minerva, Augustus, Anne, & possibly John, Jessie, & Marietta. Could the first daughter be the Elizabeth PAIN_, who m. 19 Aug. 1860, Madison Co., OH, Mortimore CAREY? Possibly someone from Margaret's family accompanied her to Madison Co. because USGenWeb also has a Madison Co., OH, marriage 28 Dec. 1887, for Lucinda SPEAKMAN & Samuel FOULK. Rootsweb has a Lucinda, b. ca. 1865, dau/o Mary GATES / GOETZ & Jacob SPEAKMAN. Could the SPEAKMAN migration have included Pennsylvania? Google shows a will, pr. 8 Apr. 1809, Newlin, now Columbia Co., PA, for Ebenezer SPEAKMAN, wf. Mary, ch. Lydia LADLEY, Mary BAKER, George, Joshua, Jacob, & Margaret SPEAKMAN. {I know that's early for your Margaret, but the Margaret in the will could have been a relative.} Do you have the ancestry of Wm. PAINE? RootsWeb has an Amasa PAINE who had a son Wm. and lived in Madison Co., OH. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
