Hi Joan! Thanks so much for taking the time to write me. My 2xgreat-grandfather,Thomas DRAKE,was born in MD.in 1810. His parents were: William DRAKE,Jr. & Mary ? I don't know where they were married yet but I suspect MD.or PA. William & Mary DRAKE moved from Bedford Co.,PA. to Harrison Co.,OH. in 1819. Thomas DRAKE married Hannah BROWNING in Harrison Co.,OH. on 25 Jan.1837. The BROWNING's came from MD.also. They seemed to travel together from one state to the next one. At this point we haven't figured out who Hannah's parents were either. There is at least two BROWNING families in Harrison Co.,OH. at the same time as the DRAKE's. There were DRAKE's & BROWNING's living at the same time around the Flintstone area of Allegany Co.,MD. also. Thanks again for writing! Pam in IN.
