While I live in Maryland, this is the first death certificate I've needed actually in Maryland, and I'm just going round in circles at the Archives and Div of Vital Records websites. If I have the date, do I need to search for the registration number? Since the Archives' "new" ordering procedure only applies to certificates up to 1944, how does one order one for a death that occurred between then and 1968? (1952) ~ and although I see the 100-year rule for birth certificates, I can't find a limit for death certificates (in my experience 25 or 50 years in many states).
