New Facts & Old Families of Fredk. Co., MD: Sale of original lots in Middletown, Lot 4: Magdalena JESSERONG, 3-3-67, {1767?} to Mathias BRANDENBURG, K:997; & BRANDENBURG to Harman YOST, 18-8-72 {1772?}, P:323. There may have been relatives in Bedford Co., PA, as the 1790 Census there (not subdivided) has BRANDIBOURGH, Anthony, 113; BRANDIBURGH, Jacob, 100; & BRANDIBERGER, Christon, 212. Christon was next to BURNDVEGER, John, 126 [Numbers are males 16+, males under 16, & females]. Many Swiss and German immigrants did come through Philadelphia, so perhaps you just haven't found Ulrich because of a strange spelling of his surname. Robert BARNES' Maryland Marriages, Fredk.
