She settled in Jefferson/Franklin co. Ms. An 1850 Jefferson co. Ms. list her birthplace as MD, as does an 1880 in which her son lists her BP as Md. Susan Butcher? Was possibly black, part black or indian as all records list her and her family as "M' for mulatto.
