W. S. Hays Esq., was called to Chair, with Alexander Norris and Henry A Silver, Esqrs. as Vice Presidents, and Wm Galloway and Wm. Young, Esqrs. Secretaries. On motion a committee of seven, consisting of Henry W Archer, O?ho Scott, Hamilton Leferse (?), Edward Quarles, Thomas W Hall, Robert Rogers, and Dr. Elijah Bond, Esqrs were appointed to draft and submit resolutions expressive of the sense of the meeting upon the great crisis which is now impending over our country...."
