Zacheriah's son Issac B. was my gggranfather and he is buried here in Alabama. I knew Zacheriah's name and were he was located from older family members, but not much more. No one knows who the last name of Zacheriah's wife Grizzle, also born in N.C. 1794. I have a copy of the 1840,and 1850 Census from Cass Co. Georgia. Also, the 1860 US Federal Mortality Schedule from Springtown, Gordon Co. Ga. All have Zacheriah listed on them with his approximate age, and N.C. listed. Also, on the 1850 I.B., and I assume other children are listed. Our biggest problem comes from the fact that my ggrandfather William was killed at age 26 and my grandfather and his sister were raised by my ggrandmother's family. I did have my father's DNA tested and it matches an Absolom Cox born around 1770 in N.C., but that's all I know. I am new at this, and am having a hard time putting the pieces together. I do know that Issac B. was married twice, first wife was a Vistice Roe and ! my gggrandmoter was Nancy Jammerson from S.C. Do not have any clue about where in NC he is from, or who his parents are. The time line fits in with an Issac Cox, but do no have proof. If any of this rings a bell, or if a copy of our DNA test will help, let me know. We are from haplogroup I. Oh, our Cox's married into Saye family. Lisa Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
