Author: equsrider Surnames: Bright,Burroughs Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.maryland.unknown/4273.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Rick, My relatives as well held land in Beaver Dam Manor.They were the Bright's and the Burrough's.I have been told the name of their land was called "Hollywood" beacause they brought 1000 holy trees with them to the Americas to use as Hedge rows around the property.I do not know if "they" is the Bright's or the Burrough's. I have had no luck finding anything related to this. I have been told that the city of "Hollywood" was named for the very old Holly tree which stands or stood there.Any suggestions on where I may find info? Thanks!
