Help, I am looking for information on a Rev. Edward Topp who served at three churches in Maryland in the very late 1600's and very early 1700's. He last served at St. Anne's in Annapolis from about 1702/3 to 1706, he died in 1706 at the age of 29. He came to America on the King's Bounty from England in about 1695 - 1697, and proceed directly to Maryland, arriving, I believe at Baltimore. Edward Topp is my link to my ancestors in England and I am trying to locate where he is buried, the name of his wife, and I am aware he had at least one son, Roger, possibly more. He also was the minister to the Lower House of Govt. in Maryland in the very early 1700's. He also was a tutor to the children of the Royal Governor, Governor Frank Nicholson, not sure of the spelling. I can follow from his son Roger to present day without breaking a link, and with finding Edward, I can now go back to 1450 without any breaks in my chain, thanks to the help of a genealogist and a lot of hard work by myself. If anyone has any information, please contact me. It is very important to me to try and find the name of his wife, any other children, where he is buried and something more of his life on arriving in America. Jim Topp [email protected]
