He is my grandfather. He is my mother's dad, but he left before she was old enough to know him. (after 1935) We know absolutely nothing about him. My mother was born in 1935 in Jackson County Ga. We have been told he has family in North Carolina. My mother has only one photo of him and it was supposedly taken in a prison yard in Atlanta Ga. His full name (as far as we know) is John Creed Tanner. I am sending an attachment of that photo. You're right, there are lots of John Tanner families. If your John Tanner was born in 1813 in Ga.
