The parents of James Mayhugh were John R. Mayhugh who married Lovina Beale in Maryland. John was born Sept. 20, 1776. He came from Maryland to Pennsylvania, then to Morgan Co. Ohio. John died July 20, 1848. Lovina was born in 1783, date of death unknown. They had 11 children, eight of whom survived.They were:Harriett,Samuel,James,John,Asa,William,Ellen and Laura.
