The site lists Baltimore Passenger Lists, 1820 - 1948, but even with Soundex and using only the surname, these are all that came up, all leaving from Bremen. LEUTNER, Lapold, b. ca. 1835; Amalie, 1850; & Anna, 1872, arr. 28 Mar. 1872 on the Frankfurt. LEUTHNER, Heinrich, 1841; Marie, 1844; arrived 16 Apr. 1872 on the Ohio. LEDNER, Therese, arr. 26 Oct. 1872 on the Berlin, last res. Bohemia (no previous residence was listed for the others). Perhaps you could post the names of the siblings to see if anyone is researching them.

He came over with his Father, Melchior and several siblings. It is shown on the Baltimore Passenger List 1820-1948. At times I find his name spelled at Lutner, but not on this paperwork. You might want to try using http://www.castlegarden.org/ as the searches on this immigration web site are better (I.e. one letter of a name) than ants.

Do you have the names of Christoph's father and siblings? Could there have been another spelling or another first name? The Ancestry immigration records are online free this month, and I couldn't find Christoph there. I also couldn't find him on the 1880 database at FamilySearch. There were 23 entries for LEUTNER in Maryland and only two LEUTTNER entries for New York. A search for LEUTNER born in Germany didn't find any Christoph, either.

One of them emigrated to the States c1912, but we don't know whether they were married beforehand. I have exhausted all online resources, Ancestry, Ellis Island, Familysearch, but to no avail. Hannah I believe was born Liverpool, and Elizabeth was born Wavertree ( I believe. ) They were the daughters of Thomas Crosby and Mary A Waterhouse. They had a brother William, born 1883. The only detail I have is that there was a Phoebe ( presumably Hannah or Elizabeth's daughter ), who used to send my Grandparents parcels, and then in the 1960's, 2 sisters who were airline hostesses ( probably Phoebe's daughters ) visited my Grandparents in Manchester. My only hope now, is that someone may read this and know of the family. It's my last resort until the 1911 English census comes out! Thanks, Sue
