Hello, I have an ancestor who was a member of the I.O.O.F. - Mt. Ararat Encampment No. 13. I found a notice in the Baltimore Sun referring to this groups weekly meetings on Wednesday evenings at Armitage Hall on Paca Street. Does anyone have any information on this group or know where I can locate information. Thanks, Nancy

John and Judy Peck Twiner are my ggggrandparents thru there son George. Will be glad to share with you. I am interested in your Francis(born march 27, 1799). I have her married 1st to James McCall on April 20, 1821 in Franklin Co., MS. They have a son John Peck McCall b 1823. Then Francis married John J Davis Oct 10, 1827 in Claiborne Co., MS. They had 2 children that I know of-- Elizabeth, b 1828 and James S. b 1830. I didn't have Mississippi Davis. Do you have a birthdate? Next Francis married John Webb Dec 16, 1834 in Claiborne Co., MS. They had a daughter Christina b 1840. I have Francis alive in 1870. Her history is complicated and I hope you can help me with it. Her father John Twiner was born about 1757 in Maryland. He served with the Maryland Militia in the Rev. War. He married Judith, Judy, Juda Peck in Sullivan Co, Tenn Dec 1 1789. They could not read or write and their is no marriage records. She was sent to the Poor house after his death Oct 24, 1831 Claiborne Co., MS because she could not prove a legal marriage so she was denied his Rev War Pension of $6.00 monthly. Records show that their may be more children than we have names of. I have the names of nine. I have been unable to discover who John or Judith Peck Twiner's parents are. Judith Peck had an uncle with the initial S Peck. I have wondered if that could be Samuel since they named thir oldest child Samuel. Would love to share info. I look forward to hearing from you.
