Does anyone know where I can get information on line on Baltimore Port ships lists from 1700's to 1900? I know I have family lines that came in to Baltimore Port but so far have not been able to find ships lists on line. Kaye
My best success with records of ancestors arriving at any port has been Ancestry.com, but unfortunately you have to pay to join, a monthly rate or yearly rate. You could always join for a month, then stop. There are other records available, but you would have to do a lot of searching and go to many different locations for all of them. Ancestry.Com seems to have most of them online, or at least the vast majority. Good Morning List members - Is there any on the list who share an interest in the Ford/Foard families of colonial Maryland. I have begun an attempt to extract information from probate, the Maryland State Archives, DAR miscellaneous genealogical files, and other resources to document these Ford/Foard families of colonial Maryland. Currently I have 500 index cards with entries (tried a database but it became too unwieldy and couldn't make cross- references). My interest is particularly in accessing colonial Maryland information not available to me here in Salt Lake City. I would be interested in web sites or Maryland State Archives or local information. Any suggestions out there? I am less interested in compiled GEDCOMS or family trees - particularly if undocumented.
