I believe Cramer's Detachment and Cramer's Regiment are one and the same. I still have to confirm this. I believe that Cramer's Detachment pulled their men from Frederick (mostly) and Montgomery counties. If you look under the Frederick County message Board you will see my query on Cramer's Detachment and some very good responses.

If you find a way to find this out, please let me know. Right now the only recourse in MD is to apply to the courts and then you may not get a name but only non identifying info. If the birth mother is looking for you there is an intermediary system in MD that will work with connecting you but you have to go through them and it is not free.
Define a century and who praytell are you responding to ??

Is there a difference?
