Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/SFB.2ACI/4036.3 Message Board Post: Hi David, I retreived the image and enlarged it. Do you read it as being witnessed by a minister? That is what it appears to be to me. If so than it could indeed be Ann Parish. A google search shows a current St. Anne's Parish in Annapolis and also one in Queen Anne's county. If I were to guess - I would pick "Ann Parish" in "Anne" [Arundel] County- with someone writing quickly and using shortened versions of the place names. Seems like even when you find something that fits, there brings yet another puzzle <g> Catherine

    2. Christine Schott
    3. All, I had some strange glitches with my email tonight and I may have missed sending a few obits that were requested from my 1885 and 1886 postings yesterday. I realized this AFTER I had deleted all of the requests and cleaned out my sent mail box as well. Anyway, if you sent me a request for an obit before now (Thursday night, 11:55 eastern) and I haven't sent it to you, please re-send your request. I won't be offended that you're impatient or anything like that :) Christine

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Michael, Thankbonden, Bonham Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/SFB.2ACI/4170 Message Board Post: Hi, I am hoping to find descendants of John Michael (1765-1855) of Allegany County, Maryland, the son of Philip & Mary Michael, who have in their possession old family bibles/records. John Michael married a Catherine, whose surname was either Thankbonden or Bonham. It is Thankbonden according to a 1937 article, but the DAR has Bonham, from which Thankbonden could be corrupted from (she maybe having a middle name such as Thank, Thankful). The Michael family had originally lived in Loudoun County, Virginia, & there was a Bonham family near them when they were living there. If you possess any of the original family bibles pertaining to this family, please contact me. Thanks! Sincerely, Richard Michaels
