    3. I am looking for information, on a couple. A Mr. and Mrs. Nairn, he was a attorney, in Baltimore in 1900. Sorry do not know his first name, do know that he married a Emily Pardee, the widow of Dr. E. H. Pardee, of Oakland, CA, her maiden name was Elliott, they were married, around but before May 31, 1900. From a article in San Francisco paper, he was called a prominent attorney in Baltimore, and that they were going to be living in Baltimore. Do not know if they got married in Oakland, CA or Baltimore. She later, came back out to California, where she lived in Palo Alto, and was married to a J. Leroy Dixon, I do not know if Mr. Nairn, died before she got married again, or if they were divorced. Thanks for any help George --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? I have been unable to go any further back in the ancestry. Subsequent family always referred to her as “the French Lady”, which would indicate she had a French accent. From family letters dated in the 1840’s I can surmise her siblings were: David; John (who in 1843 was living in New Salem, Fairfield County, Ohio, and had joined the Temperence movement); Polly (who in January of 1843 was living with a family named Sharples); Mary A (who in 1843 was living at “the forge”.; Charlotte (who appears to have married someone with the last name of Allen); Margaret (who married a man named Stone); Joanna (married Michael Kidwiler and in 1849 was living in Harper’s Ferry, Jefferson County, Virginia); Daniel; and possibly James. Eliza married William H. Eakle, son of William Eakle and Elizabeth Colliflower on December 21, 1841, in Shelby County, Missouri. In 1894, William H. was living alone in Shelby County. Letters to Eliza and William H. from Eliza’s family are written from Sharpsburg, Washington County, Maryland. Those from William’s family are written from Funkstown, Sharpsburg & Hagerstown, Maryland. Any information to take this further back in my ancestry would be very much appreciated.
