Would you be so kind as to give me the years these two lived there? Also, if not too difficult, look for variation spellings of Morrow such as Murrough, Morray, Morrey, etc.. for others during the time period 1750-1765? Any help would be appreciated. Bill Morrow
I was wondering if anyone could help me locate a Joseph Hoffmeister on any census before 1900? He might be my gg grandfather's brother. In 1900 Joseph is living at 400 Eden street in ward 4. His wife was Johannah and they had a son named Philipp. Both Joseph and Johannah were born in Germany. Phillip was born in Maryland. Joseph was a baker. My grandfather told me before he died that there was a baker in the family who was a brother of his grandfather August Hoffmeister. I do not know if this was true or not. My Hoffmeister side is very hard to research. So if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. I'm trying to get through a huge brick wall. Thanks for your help. Kristy Hoffmeister

[Nath. was abbreviated in the record.] I Googled your EASTMAN file, where you also listed 1880 for Vincent's birth, so perhaps that's keeping others from finding the right Vincent. The 1930 database does show a Vincent b. 1870! I don't know whether you are able to update your RootsWeb file, but perhaps you might want to list that Vincent's first wife died before 1825, not 1830, as his second marriage was in Wayne Co., GA, 20 Mar. 1825. You might also want to say that John's wife died after 1880 {more specific than around}, as she was on the 1880 census, Precinct 3, Orange Co., FL: TANNER, John, 66, GA MD NC; wf. I don't know why they weren't in order on the FamilySearch database. Did you mean that Mary was born in Charlton Co., GA {not FL}?] Also of Precinct 3, Orange, FL, 1880: TANNER, Wiley, 64, GA MD NC; wf. Elmira, 23 [ ! ], NC NC NC; dau. Caladonia, 1, FL. How do you pronounce Econlockhatchee River, where John & son Henry had Orange Co., FL, property? People posting on RootsWeb Family Trees about this family include Richard MEDDERS (his name - hotmail), Robin LUX (ravens444 - juno), & Jean MIZELL {Jeanhmz - aol). I think you can figure out the addresses while we foil the spammers. If not, you can check RootsWeb.
